For six years I worked as Faculty Student Communications Officer within Birmingham City Business School which gave me the opportunity to put my Marketing degree to the test.My job was to communicate faculty information, events, news & opportunities to students using various communication channels such as managing and creating content for the Digital screens, set up & run the faculty social media, emails, design brochures, flyers and organise student events.The role required effective content creation, organisation and a great personality to engage students and also manage the faculty International Travel Scholarship Programme which was first trialed by myself and Associate Dean at the time Paul Bowker. With my great organisation and management skills the Programme was a success and secured more funding each year which gave more students the opportuniity to volunteer in other countries. Pleased to say that the programme is now within other faculties within the University.In that role I won Professional Services staff of 2015 and also nominated twice by students for the extra mile awards in 2016 for best Staff member and teacher.
Graduating with a Marketing degree from Birmingham City University this was my first role working within Higher Education as a Student Liaison Officer.
