-Apply principles of project management developing large, complex schedules. Wrote journal articles on various public and private policy issues (published: Consensus in The FTC Facebook Settlement), served as editor for the journal reviewing and approving submissions and modifying and improving submitted work, as well as publishing articles on site & journal. Worked with a team of co-editors and facilitators to design, lead, and teach a class on policy analysis and academic journal writing techniques.

Researched the impact of manufacturing technology improvement on optimal organizational structure and welfare. Investigated a centralized vs. decentralized framework: one central division assigning tasks to all subdivisions vs. giving subdivisions autonomy to make their own decisions. Built a mathematical microeconomic model to test cases of monitoring vs. wage incentive costs in each of these structures. Wrote a computer program in Python and AMPL to further test optimal levels of output, technology parameters, and decentralization penalties.

Worked with Professor Anil Aswani and PhD candidate Mahbod Olfat on a research project in the Industrial Engineering & Operations Research department to optimize the outcome of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), a federal program aiming to fight poverty and food insecurity. The project took a linear and discrete approach using algorithmic techniques to find an objective-maximizing solution, which aims to anticipate the needs and meal choices of SNAP program recipients based on scheduling constraints, nutritional needs, and funding given. Improved the mathematical model built in Python and Gurobi and perform sensitivity analysis to determine the effects on output of price and preference variability. Evaluated the biases and assumptions within the algorithms to improve the accuracy and fairness of the results.

At Berkeley Research Data Management, I served as a consultant and program manager intern. Berkeley RDM works with researchers across all disciplines to navigate the increasingly complex landscape of data planning, storage, and sharing. As a consultant, I specialized in data management plans, active data, and data security. I worked with researchers on how to best manage, plan, analyze, and secure their data. As a program manager intern, I assisted in developing and implementing new strategies for our program. I established new partnerships for our program on campus and identify opportunities for our program's improvement. I also aided in event planning and coordination to expand our program's outreach.

Executive Vice President of Operations & Member/Researcher of the Engineered Wetland - Plant Microbial Fuel Cell Project and Solar Cell Project.At NuLeaf, we have created an engineered wetland and plant microbial fuel cell integrated system called the NuTree that cleans polluted water, generates power, and grows crops. I helped us obtain venture capital funding and conduct significant market research and analyze market trends. As VP of Operations, I managed tasks via Monday Team Management and generated financial and personnel reports on Microsoft Excel. I aided in company outreach, networking, and investor/investment research. I conducted market research to track industry trends and design our product for customer needs. I also continued my work and research on the NuTree system and helped optimize and engineer our product.As an engineer, I conducted research on water and microbe characterization in engineered wetlands by collecting data on pH, chemical oxygen demand, total nitrates, nitrites, ammonia, turbidity, and total dissolved and suspended particles. I co-invented a self-sustaining reactor system of hydroponics, engineered wetlands, and plant microbial fuel cells to generate electrical energy, synthesize pure water, and grow crops, with polluted water as the sole input; eventually named the NuTree, meant to be used as a water treatment for agricultural systems and industrial water use.I implemented changes to the proton exchange membrane, circuitry, and cell materials to optimize power and water output, using causal and inferential data analysis techniques to correlate performance changes with adjustments to the system hardware.

Vice President of Finance at the Associated Students of Foothill College (ASFC), Foothill College's student government. I led the Finance Board, chaired meetings and budget hearings, and collaborated with faculty and student body to understand student needs. In addition, I also analyzed monetary trends, managed, determined and allocated the optimal uses of our $700,000+ budget. As VP of Finance, I financially supported and advocated for student programs, new initiatives, and projects. My team and I created a $75,000 student services reserves to support the student body during financial hardships, paired with a 3-year tiered plan of how to use the funds.
