Serene Star Productions was established in 2001. The first four years were spent primarily producing some of the largest independently promoted concerts in San Francisco Bay Area. Some noteable concerts include: Kanye West, Maroon 5, Bobby Womack, and Michael Franti. In 2005 Serene Star expanded, after moving to Los Angeles, taking on an array of events. I procured clients and managed client expectations, including ensuring high-quality events while minimizing expenses. In L.A. I had the chance to work on large productions such as the Emmy's, but also enjoyed producing small events such as house parties. Serene Star Productions produced numerous types of events including fashion shows for Fashion Week, the opening of Macon National Raceway, corporate events for clients such as Golds Gym, Citi, and BET, and nonprofit events for clients such as Los Angeles Childrens Hospital and 100 Black Men of America. It was in LA that I learned how to navigate the complexities of multimillion-dollar event productions.Special Events Magazine and the International Special Events Society have acknowledged Serene Star Productions for being an innovative leader in the green movement. Additionally, I have spoken at and designed eco lounges for industry trade shows.Serene Star Productions grew organically and fruitfully. I soon realized my niche with sponsorship activation and experiential marketing. I have a strong passion for engaging people in unique ways that will stick with them for years to come.
