I’m a highly detail oriented perfectionist. I started out my adult career as a dental hygienist before becoming a home educator and finding I had a passion for educating young people (my own and others) as I taught both at home and at a private homeschool academy over the years. I also discovered a talent for written communication during that time and used that talent to counsel many new homeschool families. I extended my teaching passion by doing private tutoring. In addition during those years, I ran a home based business doing proofreading, editing, and transcription. Just prior to re-entering the medical field, I used my skills and experience to transition into the information technology and services field. I consider myself a lifetime learner, and I always try to stay on top of my skills with continuous use, research, and certifications. Even in spite of the many types of positions I’ve had, I’ve always maintained a love for the healthcare industry, so I’ve also completed many self study programs and courses in the areas of caregiving for the elderly and nursing studies. I’m always looking for more to learn and for new ways to sharpen my existing skills. My long time position in a moderate-high complexity internal medicine lab as a phlebotomist/lab technician was where I honed the skills and knowledge I gained from my studies. I am now working in the field as a mobile clinician, clinical research professional, and phlebotomist. It is my pleasure to provide compassionate care with kindness and excellence. I strive to truly make a difference in the lives of my patients, whether it be with a gentle touch, a kind word, or simply providing quality clinical services. I’m nationally certified as both a phlebotomy and EKG technician as well as a nationally registered/certified medical assistant. It’s always an adventure!
