I am a first-year undergraduate attending York University majoring in Law & Society. With the opportunity to gain beneficial knowledge in the law and social sciences field during my undergraduate degree, I look forward to gaining work experience in the law field through associations, internships, and volunteer opportunities to enhance and implement my transferable skills.My inspiration to pursue law stems from my determination to help others through legal advocacy for human rights. Throughout my high school career, I had the opportunity to take influential courses where I connected with impactful educators who guided me in learning about pressing social issues, global injustices, and the power of utilizing one’s voice to challenge & change society. I want to use the compassion I hold for helping others along with the fairness law can promote when implemented with justice to harness the power of making an impactful difference in people’s lives.
