Current (2023) After graduation I was keeping my eye out for opportunities with regular business hours. My brother Dr. Patrick Sofer DMD, who is an Endodontics resident at Texas A&M, helped me get my feet wet in the Dental Industry. I was able to assist an oral surgeon, mainly for wisdom tooth extraction procedures. After a few days I witnessed multiple patients truly relieved of their pain after their treatment. Right there I knew I can take my hospitality education and experience and transfer it over to dentistry. Some patients go through a lot, and sometimes they have no choice but to take the time off and invest in the restoration of their teeth. The experience begins with the phone call. Currently I am in administration at Strobel Dentistry, a 92 year old, 3rd generation Dental office in the Chicago Loop. We offer the latest in dental technology in a compassionate environment. At Strobel Dentistry, we specialize in comprehensive care. We have added Myofunctional Therapy, Solea Dental Laser, and 3D-printing, and home sleep tests recently. We enjoy providing a welcoming environment for our patients. I enjoy building relationships!2016-2020 When I was working at Giordano’s just starting out as a cashier, I witnessed the operation advance to be more productive and organized, and the company grew. That experience made me interested in Hospitality. Now as a Supervisor, I enjoy learning from mistakes and working through issues. I am constantly looking to learn from experiences and take on new challenges. I've worked closely with my mentor who has decades of experience. I enjoy seeing the restaurants I work at improve from my efforts. As a full time student at Northern Illinois University, studying Hospitality and Tourism Management I am currently working full time and focusing on my studies and research.
