• As well as my work performed as a Geodata Analyst I am also now responsible for the scheduling of data, managing resources to ensure priorities are followed and possible delays are communicated early. Playing a key.
• Managing, capturing and processing varying forms of geographical data collected from the field - Total stations, terrestrial/aerial LiDAR, GNSS, IMU, weather data, nadir & oblique imagery
• Scheduling and resourcing projects to make sure deadlines are hit
• Managing work for 7 team members to make sure they are always kept busy and are learning new practices
• Answering and resolving technical queries both from the field team and that of onward departments

Knaresborough & Global Fieldwork

• Working as part of the UK operations team to ensure captured aerial and ground data meet the specification of the end client. Contributing to both office and field teams in the UK and abroad.Work performed
• Liaise across the operations group to understand general project requirements and contribute to pre-planning activities
• Provide remote support to field teams deployed on airborne operations and to other office locations, providing information and technical assistance.
• When deployed, receive and check off the files, structure and reporting for all field data including GPS base, weather and airborne LiDAR and imagery
• Calculate lever arms for LiDAR and camera depending on each individual installation, applying to subsequent processing.
• Calibrate LiDAR sensor for all systematic IMU and laser parameters using the specific calibration flight, producing calibration report suitable for delivery internally and externally.

Knaresborough

• Working with a variety of remotely sensed data including LiDAR, downward looking imagery, oblique imagery, video and meteorological data. Main duties include:
• The production of geodetically correct aerial LiDAR point clouds
• Reporting and communication of data accuracy and quality
• Assisting the Remote Sensing Manager/ Supervisor to perform quality checks
• Providing technical support to colleagues
• Assisting the Remote Sensing Manager/Supervisor through the training of new staff
