With more than 10 years of experience, Nicole Suárez is an Emmy-award winning journalist and news correspondent for Noticias Telemundo, who currently serves as the news anchor on Telemundo's national morning show, "Un Nuevo Día."Having joined Telemundo in 2016, Suárez has covered major stories for the network and has served as a reporter for “Al Rojo Vivo con Maria Celeste.” Before joining the network, Suárez became one of the youngest anchors in Chicago after accepting a job with Tribune Publishing as the anchor of “Hoy Noticias MundoFox.” During her time with Tribune, she won an Emmy for a special series on childhood obesity in the Hispanic community. She was also nominated for an Emmy for telling the story of a man who was wrongfully incarcerated for more than 20 years. Born and raised in Chicago to Colombian parents, Suárez was recognized as one of the “9 Women Who are Changing Chicago” by Michigan Avenue magazine in 2015. She holds a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and public relations from DePaul University.
