Sharzad News is an Iranian news website for women, based in Hilversum, The Netherlands. Nicolette organized a film manifistation and debate about journalism in Iran at Women Inc. Festival 2007 in Amsterdam. She equally developed and realized a variety of promotional material and press releases for the event.

During a ten months 'sabbatical', Nicolette worked at Cheribum Horse Stud in Namibia, training horses. Backing horses, she oversaw the management and training of young horses in dressage, jumping, and endurance-racing. This included teaching horse riding to local staff, support of German volunteer riders, and receiving guests of the Weissenfels Guesthouse. A great opportunity to enjoy and work in an African landscape.
