Nicole is Executive Director - Board member at the Dutch entity of Doc Society (cultural ANBI foundation), and Director of Development at Doc Society globally. Doc Society is a nonprofit committed to enabling great documentary films and connecting them to audiences globally. Based in Amsterdam, London, Sydney and New York, Doc Society works with independent filmmakers, impact producers, civil society organisations, funders and cultural partners all over the world. After eight years at Doc Society's London headquarters, Nicole moved back to the Netherlands in 2018 to set up and lead Doc Society's European branch. In addition, she trains and co-creates with filmmakers and impact producers all over the world on how they can use their films as a strategic tool for social and environmental change. She collaborates with and coaches cultural organisations to create a more sustainable infrastructure in their respective region(s). Nicole also inspires, develops and creates new, innovative partnerships, coalitions and initiatives with civil society organisations to create more societal impact through storytelling.She is in her element when contributing at systemic level to build a more sustainable, just and diverse independent media and cultural ecosystem.
