Nothing excites me more than applying my relational and strategic skills to collaborative processes. I love to bring disparate parties together to plan complex projects and resolve disputes. With a background in agriculture and mutual gains negotiation, I balance an understanding of policy constraints and people skills that helps me bridge differences between government agencies, the public, and primary stakeholders. Through almost a decade of experience in community organizations, worker cooperatives, nonprofits, and small businesses, I have specialized in leading groups through tough decisions and tricky interpersonal dynamics. Additionally, I teach conflict resolution theory and skills to organizations and individuals that need them, with interactive, memorable curriculum. Figuring out what's not working in a team process and then empowering the people I work with to address those issues brings me great satisfaction. I also work with community organizations as a facilitator and project manager. I have organized public engagement events of 100+ people, developed a grassroots organization from scratch to 200 active members, and coordinated statewide professional networks.Outside of work, I support grassroots fundraising campaigns for national organizations through donor development and fundraiser skill building. I also backpack, make pottery, and study Talmud.
