> Title: "Breaking down structural remodeling in atrial fibrillation: towards targeting the arrhythmogenic substrate">I combined clinical, experimental and big data bioinformatics analyses for the discovery of biomarkers of atrial fibrillation. Hereto, I bridged the gap between fundamental scientists and clinicians. I developed laboratory techniques and statistical programming skills. I organized and managed research projects, for which I worked in a multicultural team and supervised laboratory technicians and clinical research nurses.> I published >15 peer reviewed manuscripts, I was active as peer reviewer and presented at several international congresses. My work was accepted as a mainstage key lecture during the Heart Rhythm Congress 2020, which is the most important congress in the field. I received several supportive grants for my achievments.
