A newly created position to reach the underserved population in Western Suburbs of Chicago. The overall objective is to grow the client base for the clinic to become a self-sufficient satellite office.Successfully obtained and held a full case load at the satellite office while continuing outreach to bring awareness to the community.Established effective relationships to promote the agency’s mission and services to the community, local social service agencies, township officials and potential clients.In four months, generated 11 leads which led to four contacts resulting in a total of $5,350+ in grant donations.Lead spokesperson at networking functions for satellite office development. Actively collaborated with a team of people, while networking with the community, to obtain financial assistance for the set up of the new satellite office. Presented client caseload to agency staff pertaining to case progress and closure summaries.Held responsibility for entering and tracking service hours into Infonet database to obtain and/or hold state funding. Provided outreach to clients interested in services at the Batavia satellite office while screening for appropriateness for services.Utilized both independent and collaborative decision making skills to both identify and meet objectives and goals. Assessed safety level of clients to create effective plan resulting in de-escalation of crisis.Took action to protect the welfare of minors while abiding by Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) protocol for reporting child abuse. Researched/discussed natural outside resources with clients to determine additional options available.Provided individual counseling and crisis intervention for victims of sexual assault/domestic violence and significant others. Proficient in utilizing counseling techniques such as: Cognitive Behavioral, Mindfulness, Sand-tray, and Client-centered therapies.
