Nida works at the Times of India as a senior correspondent and reports on transport, agriculture and fisheries, besides writing stories on art and culture, astronomy, ocean sciences and other subjects. She started writing for newspapers at the young age of 16 years and landed her first job as reporter/sub-editor at the weekly, 'Goan Observer' while she was studying at Goa University. She penned her first novel, 'Nasty Secrets' at the age of 18 years, while she was still in college and later published it. The young adult novel is one of the first novels written by a Goan in the genre of speculative fiction. This genre explores the amalgamation of literary and fantasy fiction. Her latest work is a historical fiction novel which is due for publication.
