• Responsible for strategic planning, design, management, and monitoring and evaluation of education programs as well as education-related technical insights to various USAID’s programs. • Managed large teams of implementing partners, ensured quality of deliverable. • Served as the Agreement Officer’s Representative (AOR) for a $90 million basic education program, Links To Learning (ED-LINKS), and a $38 million higher education program, Merit and Needs-Based Scholarship Program. • Led the design and expansion of the Merit and Needs-Based Scholarship Program from $13 million to $38 million when the U.S. Congress selected this program to forward the Malala Scholarship Act. Led selection of participant universities and worked to build their capacity to implement the program and set up sustainability schemes. Provided leadership, oversight, and monitoring to the staff of Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission and 31 partner universities in the implementation of the program. Led the effort which increased women participation in the program from the historic 21% to 50% in one year – a milestone set by the U.S. Congress. Led and oversaw cooperation between the implementing partner and the host government for the two programs which demanded flexibility in difficult and sometimes insecure working circumstances• Provided oversight for the U.S. government higher education portfolio which included the Science and Technology Program, the Fulbright Program and the Women in Science and Technology Program in Pakistan. • Coordinated with local, regional and international stakeholders including counterpart government agencies and entities, international NGOs and other donors.

• Designed and conducted English language teacher trainings for the public school system throughout Punjab. • Managed recruitment of teachers for continuous education courses, provided technical inputs for the reform and streamlining of curricula and syllabi. • Developed program resource materials including student handbooks. • Led the development of master trainers and education managers to improve academic supervision and administration of public schools through curriculum design.• Conducted specialized trainings such as Literacy and Non-formal Basic Education, Special Education Department Master Trainers on Inclusive Education, Higher Education Department Examiners Paper Setters of Education Boards.• Developed material for Induction and post induction trainings for Educational Managers, Teachers, Head Teachers and Subject Specialists for English and LiteracyConducted action research on prevailing teacher training issues in the country

• Conducted faculty member responsibilities and coordinator in the UNICEF funded, continuing education program, • Provided technical leadership in the development and implementation of needs-based courses on teaching and learning methodologies, classroom assessments and curriculum design for basic education. • Provided technical inputs and guidance for the development of the communication skills syllabus, job placement training program, the written and spoken English language programs, and integration of teacher training and adult education/training programs.
