Export L/C’s:• Responsibile for the examination, advising, acceptance, amendments and of documentary Letters of Credit, Standby Letters of Credit.• Ensuring that the terms are clearly understandable and compatible with the broad parameters of the International Chamber of Commerce tools UCP600, Incoterms 2010, the Bills of Exchange Act, International Standard Banking Practice ISBP745.• Assuring that the conditions of the credit are practical.• Transferring Letters of Credit and Assignments of Proceeds on Due date.• Ensuring that the Bank’s interest and our client’s interest is protected. • Complete all settlements related to shipments under Export Letter of credits.• Follow up with daily reports regarding Claims and cancellation files. • Following up with all time elapsed negotiations and tracing with the correspondent banks.• Keeping records of Credits and status of accounts. • Co-operate with and assist other members of the personnel with the completion of the day’s work and any other tasks that could be associated with this position.Import L/C’s: Scrutiny’s Department.• Reviewing letter of credit documents to determine compliance with uniform customs and practice for documentary credit UCP600 and international standards banking practice ISBP745 verifying terms of credit such as: Amount, Insurance coverage and Shipping conditions to determine compliance with established standards. • Keeping records of Credits.
