Nida Taylor is an Asian American businesswoman based in Southeast Asia. She is currently an Advisor and Director for Ichor Global Myanmar, a private investment holding company based in Singapore with investments in a diverse portfolio of aviation, spirits, trade, agriculture, fashion, media and entertainment.Nida began her career as a model winning several international competitions,including Miss Myanmar USA 2012 and Miss Asia 2013. In 2013, Nida was elected Vice President of the Miss Asia Association, which was formed by the International Women’s Forum (IWF), one of the world’s most prestigious women’s associations. As a representative of IWF, Nida was featured on CNN, CNBC, BBC and participated in a closing bell ceremony at the NASDAQ Market site in Times Square.In 2016, she founded one of her first businesses, Her Alchemy. In Myanmar, Her Alchemy quickly became one of the country’s leading women’s fashion brands. By 2018, she tapped into the Myanmar media and entertainment industry by starting Alchemy Influence with Bunny Phyoe, one of Myanmar’s most recognized musicartists. Alchemy Influence has since gone on to produce several hit albums, music videos and led several marketing campaigns for Coca-Cola, Samsung, Sony, Uber, the Singapore Tourism Board and many other notable brands. Additionally, she secured and launched the first official Disney collaboration in Myanmar which introduced an exclusive collection called Star Wars x Karrot.Nida has been invited to speak on several panels including the Australian Chamber for Women in Business and Leadership Development, Beyond The Woman (an inspiration show for female entrepreneurs in Myanmar) and has been featured yearly in the Myanmar Times and other notable media.Nida’s objective is to make a positive mark on women in business and leadership. Through her businesses, she tirelessly challenges the long-standing structural obstacles that make it difficult for women in Myanmar to succeed.
