Provide executive leadership in coordinating a national defense against Internet-based attacks in cooperation with public and private sectors. Provide leadership and direction to insure the efficient execution of all functional programs to fulfill the NCSD mission and objectives of enabling national, international, state, local and private sector to deter, prepare, and respond to cyber events. Frequent interaction with senior executives from the White House, the National Security Staff, all Federal Government agencies, including, OMB, DOD and the Intelligence Community to provide robust Information Sharing and Situational Awareness on cyber related events, as well as coordinate with other Federal agencies to provide specific warning information and advice on appropriate protective measures and countermeasures to State, Local and Tribal governments and to the private sector and critical infrastructure owners and operators. Responsible for the overall execution of the EINSTEIN cyber IT acquisition program.

Provided day-to-day executive leadership and operational oversight and direction to various divisional elements. Exercised broad authority and responsibility for administrative and management policies, strategic planning, and program operations in the IT functions. Designed, deployed, operated, maintained and enhanced the agency's world-wide classified and unclassified networks and information systems, which span 38 locations and support over 8500 users. Managed over 200 personnel in support of this effort. Responsible for a broad array of technology related management services that are utilized by all entities within the DISA community.

Personally requested by the DOD CIO to serve on a rotation to their office in support of the EW SE (Enterprise Wide Systems Engineering) effort. Served as a senior systems engineer in support of the Global Information Grid (GIG) for Enterprise Wide Systems Engineering (EWSE). Provided leadership of the various GIG working groups to support resolution of technical and IA issues relating to the IC integration with the GIG. Ensured end-to-end interoperability across more than $5 billion in programs and portfolios.

Operated and maintained a world-wide network. Managed the operations, and maintenance of the network to ensure required availability, cost effective operation, and existence of adequate disaster recovery plans and backup/redundant operations to meet national and defense intelligence needs. Oversaw the implementation of new technologies, such as a worldwide VTC, VoIP system, and a multi-classification thin client system.

Provided project management oversight and engineering for all National Security Systems projects for the agency. Designed, operated and maintained NASA world-wide classified network and information systems. Served as communications lead during the space shuttle disaster. Deployed to remote location and coordinated and provided IT support to multiple federal and state agencies.
