I am currently a senior in the School of Arts and Sciences (SAS) and Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University. I am majoring in Public Health and working towards a Public Health Management certificate. After I graduate Rutgers in May 2021, I plan on attending an accelerated nursing program post graduation and currently seeking job opportunities in the healthcare field. My choice in the healthcare field as a career began with my volunteering and working experiences over the past few years. In high school, I volunteered as a Nursing Unit Secretary at Raritan Bay Medical Center to gain hands-on experience with patients and work on my communication with patients and their families. Also my experience working at Central Jersey Urgent Care motivated and reminded me of my favorite thing about working as a nurse: the ability to make a difference in a patient’s life. I have volunteered at the BAPS Swaminarayan Temple for several years teaching young girls about our religion and enhancing their skills. These experiences have inspired me to pursue a job that involves providing healthcare, specifically childcare. I believe that the skills that I have gained from my past experiences and competitive university life has shaped me into the person I am now and I look forward to implementing and improving them in any opportunity that I receive. Please feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn for networking, career opportunities, and more!
