NJPIRG Students works on colleges campuses to make sure peers have the skills, opportunity, and training they need to create a better, more sustainable future for all of us. Student PIRG projects include training, professional support, and resources students need to tackle climate change, protect public health, revitalize our democracy, and feed the hungry, and more. With the Hunger and Homelessness campaign this spring, we are working to address the housing and food insecurities that so many college students face. This campaign will work closely with local food banks, raise awareness, and money for in-need students and bring attention to the circumstances that these students face. Due to the pandemic, we will be doing everything virtually. As an Event Coordinator for the Hunger and Homelessness campaign, my responsibilities include:• Organize, plan, and execute events for raising awareness or fundraising• Work with a team of volunteer and interns• Recruit volunteers and other organizations• Attend weekly organization meetings, training, and educational events
