I am drawn to enormous chaotic challenges (specifically with my boundaries in place and with appropriate protections against burnout and overwhelm and allowing for rest, relaxation, recharging, and reflection). My particular purpose is planetary healing. This has been the centering thread of my career decisions and my time away from formal employment. Whether or not you believe in climate change, it's unarguable that our material and energy flows (thanks chemical engineering!) are not optimized for environmental harm reduction.I believe the solutions will be found by engaging with various, if not all, disciplines, and as such, I am interested in gaining the language and knowledge of as many industries as possible. So far, I have engaged materially with the following industries: MANUFACTURING (chemical processing plants), WASTEWATER TREATMENT (composting toilets), EDUCATION (middle and high school), and most recently, pharma and HEALTHCARE (diagnostic). My skills and interest lie in optimizing. For me optimizing includes these six (6) steps - learning, understanding, simplifying, experimenting, documenting, and pressure testing, in that order. Specifically I like to LEARN the landscape of a large challenging problem, I like to UNDERSTAND it from every conceivable angle, I like to SIMPLIFY the overarching problem into 2 or 3 lowest hanging/highest value problem statements, I like to brainstorm, crowdsource, then EXPERIMENT with different solutions, DOCUMENT what worked and what didn't work, and PRESSURE TEST the system for failures and obstacles.I am open to the right opportunity in the following industries:-food, farming, agriculture-emotional/psychological/physical health-personal care or consumer health and wellnessI am motivated by challenges in the following industries:-aerospace/defense/government-housing/utilities/waste management-logistics, transportation, supply chainSeparately I am also an art, film, music, sports, and beauty lover and would consider opportunities in the same, albeit for shorter engagements.Please reach out if you see a fit.
