About Nidia Kurtin
Architecture has been my passion in life. For more than 20 years I have worked on a lot of different types of projects but always with one goal in mind: artistic expression.Key projects include at Rio de Janeiro, Indio da Costa, House of Arts (Christian de Portzamparc) and Firjan House (Atelier77) among others. Art and design being the common thread along each of these buildings. In addition, I've worked on large scale architecture, project managing the construction of a series of educational buildings over a four year period.I started my career in Buenos Aires retrofitting Boca Junior's football stadium, Argentina's largest soccer team. Shortly after graduating from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina's most renowned school for architecture, I won a scholarship in Germany at the Art School Berlin - Weissensee. While living and studying in Berlin for four years I had the honor to work for Oswald Mathias Üngers while observing a unique period of architectural history all around me: the reunification of East Berlin and Germany.I speak English, Portuguese, German and Spanish fluently. My title has been homologated in Brazil, Spain, Germany and Argentina.
