As Purchase Manager I worked with a team of specialists. Within this job I was responsible for the purchasing and import strategy (trading and non-trading goods and services), ensure the purchasing processes are in line with this strategy, quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA). Because of the international character of the Plato Group I got the opportunity to build up some decent international working experience.

As a Product Manager I was responsible for both, product planning and product marketing. Shortly; matching supply and demand which includes specifying market requirements, sourcing new products in the Far-East and managing the products throughout the product lifecycle. By working closely together with the marketing department we launched different catalogs/brochures a year and maintained several web-shops. I was held responsible for the stock level, pricing and the product selection which includes optimizing products while maximizing the return on investment but also removing non-profitable items. In the role of Assistant Product Manager I was responsible for the optimization of the online product marketing activities, product(group) related analyses, product trainings to support sales and assisting the Product Managers with searching new products in the Far-East and Europe. This includes managing the online assortment, gathering and prioritizing product- and customer requirements in alignment with the strategy of IGO-POST. There was a close cooperation between myself, the (Online)Marketing department, sales and Business Intelligence.

Arte started in December 1995 as Arte di Granito. But after a while they realised that they are capable of doing more then only natural stone.
