During the COVID-19 pandemic, I moved back to my hometown of Struisbaai in the Overberg region of the Western Cape of South Africa. Struisbaai is a small and sunny fishing village close to the southern-most point of the African continent. The town is still largely untouched by the rigours of modern over-development; life is slow and easy.With the relaxation of COVID-19 prevention measures in May 2021, I had to return to the office on a rotational basis. Not wanting to return to the hustle and bustle of city life and to give up the life which I had become used to, I made the difficult decision of resigning from my job and to start my own quantity surveying practice.Mokoto Quantity Surveyors opened for business in July 2021. We combine youth and vibrancy with capability and experience to deliver a range of professional quantity surveying services.
