I had the privilege of leading a crucial role in the implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for EOH, a project that significantly impacted the financial operations and performance of the organization. In this role, I was entrusted with ensuring the migration of transactional and reference data to the new ERP system. My responsibilities included: data quality assurance, main contact point with the finance community during the data migration and support of the ERP system during and after implementation. The ERP implementation provided me with invaluable experience in project management, data quality assurance, and effective communication, all of which are essential skills for achieving success in the world of finance and operations.

In my role, I had the opportunity of managing a cluster of 13 high-growth businesses, collectively generating an average monthly turnover of R50 million, while overseeing a team of 10 financial managers. I led these teams to streamline end-to-end financial functions, ensuring strict regulatory compliance and implementing improved financial practices. Providing crucial support to senior leadership (Exco), I prepared and delivered monthly cluster reports to the Financial Director and Cluster Head, facilitating informed decision-making. I successfully streamlined various financial activities, including cash forecasting, payroll processing, and budget management, while also developing and overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts and budgets. Furthermore, I played a key role in enhancing compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) by enforcing adherence to finance policies and procedures throughout the entire organization.

In my role overseeing the full-scope financial processes of a software and payroll services company, I managed a team of 2 direct reports and effectively controlled financial operations for a company with an average turnover of R5 million. Building and nurturing positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, I was a trusted point of contact. I took charge of preparing and interpreting financial statements, analyzing financial data, and crafting monthly business reports for executive management. My responsibilities extended to collaborating across departments to fulfill ad hoc requests and presentations for various stakeholders, including the board of directors and key business leaders. Additionally, I achieved precision in financial reporting, implementing internal controls, KPIs, and policies in alignment with regulatory requirements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial operations.
