Heading the Marine People North Europe team, responsible for HR-related matters for seafarers and cadets in North Europe and South Africa. Involved in discussions with employer and employee unions, working towards simplifying processes and daily enquiries received from seafarers and shore stakeholders.

Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines

A new function set up in 2021, which is responsible for planning ratings onboard approx. 300 Maersk vessels, and documentation and certification of approx. 12.000 seafarers employed on Maersk container vessels. Directly responsible for three teams, two in the Philippines and one in India, totalling 30 fulltime employees and 30 part-time employees.

Singapore

Responsible for the crew management of the approximately 100 Maersk vessels technically managed in Singapore, ensuring smooth crew operation in accordance with STCW and Flag state requirements for all on- and off-signing officers, as well as ensuring that the pool of officers is managed proactively in line with the crew projection and that promotions are executed in a timely manner.

Mumbai

Left the sea to join the Nautical Department in Mumbai. The Nautical team consisted of 5 ex-seafarers, providing guidance and support to the captains onboard the Maersk-owned vessels. The role focused on daily enquiries, weather routing guidance and crisis handling. Notable achievements include the roll-out of electronic navigational charts in the fleet and the development of the Emergency Response Manual for the fleet.
