Niels van Loon's practice focuses on corporate and commercial litigation, tort litigation, directors' liability claims, and commercial arbitration. He represents clients in minority squeeze out proceedings and enquiry proceedings before the Enterprise Division of the Amsterdam Court of Appeals. Niels further acts as counsel in international commercial arbitration under the rules of several arbitral institutions, including the Netherlands Arbitration Institute (NAI) where he also sits as an arbitrator, the ICC International Court of Arbitration, and the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA). Niels has served as a deputy judge at the Gelderland District Court from 2021 to 2024.Niels is a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and a member of the Dutch Arbitration Association (DAA), the Corporate Litigation Association (Vereniging Corporate Litigation), the International Bar Association (IBA), and the Solicitors' Association of Higher Courts Advocates (SAHCA).
