During my active time at Pivots Engineering we dealt in trade with surface treatment products of mainly steel surfaces in the marine and offshore industries

At EW NORD we, during my tenure, had three main activities:1) Engineering and design of industrial solutions for off shore industries like fish farming and waste management from the oil industry.2) Production, inspection and installation of heavy industrial settings like fish farming barges, cranes and oil tank farms.3) Interim staff services for shipyards and industrial producers in Scandinavia.

BBN Invest was established in Estonia on the 4th of December 2008 with the aim to invest in operating companies across the Nordic and Baltic region.

At Damco I held responsibility for the West African part of the Africa and Middle East Region.

I was responsible for the company’s activities across the region which included: 11 countries spread over three continents, with 27 offices, 340 staff and an annual turnover of 200 million USD. The main task when I started was to expand the business. This, however, quickly changed as our main team was operationally focused on export assignments for customers not residing in our region. As market changes meant declining exports from the region the task became to turn the organization into a self sustainable commercially focused team, which when I left controlled the majority of the turnover locally and offered our customers a full range of logistical services. We delivered a result before tax in 2005 of 2 million USD and tripled this over three years.

Apart from standard forwarding and logistical services we bought, build and managed a 40000 square meter container terminal, a 10000 square meter warehouse as well as a fleet of trucks used in our national distribution setup. The main assignment when I started was to turn a loss giving company around. We ended 2004 with a 1 million USD result before tax and had 100 staff.
