// FLOOD MODELLING & MAPPING PROGRAMDesigning a strategy with associated technical documentation for flood mapping projects which are to be floated out to tender - the program has a run-time of five years in which the entire municipality is to be flood mapped.Key Responsibilities:• Creation of a flood mapping strategy which encompasses a long-term plan to roll out future flood mapping projects. • Creation of technical documentation which is to be applied as a "template" for all future flood mapping projects.• Collection, amendment and logical storage of data to be utilised by consultants undertaking projects on behalf of Knox City Council.• Acting project manager/direct contact to consultants.• Liaising with Melbourne Water to formulate a Council based Special Building Overlay (SBO)//INTEGRATED STORMWATER HARVESTING SCHEMEThe design and construction of an integrated stormwater harvesting scheme at the Tim Neville Arboretum - the system is to capture, treat and utilise stormwater to irrigate the adjacent sporting oval.Key Responsibilities:• Stage 1: The upgrade of an existing stormwater network (pits & pipes) to solve a localised flooding issue and reroute stormwater into the Arboretum.• Stage 2: The design and construction of a wetland system within the Arboretum to treat incoming stormwater whilst providing a social and environmental asset.• Stage 3: The retrofit and enlargement of an existing ornamental lake to act as a staging reservoir to capture and store treated stormwater from the wetland system.• Stage 4: The design of a fully automated logic system which controls the movement of water through the network to ensure maximum yield of stormwater for the use of irrigation whilst maintaining minimum aesthetic thresholds within the wetland and ornamental lake. • Stage 5: The design and construction of a holding tank, UV treatment and irrigating system servicing the adjacent sporting oval.

Working with a wide range of clients from architects to advertising agencies to produce 3D based products ranging from architectural renders of buildings to content for television commercials.Key Responsibilities:• 3D Modeling of a range of products to the client’s needs and requirements• Supplying technical advice on a number of projects• Editing of raw footage extracted from renders to create finalised, polished videos

Working side‐by‐side with senior site supervisors and project managers in order to gain an understanding of key processes and responsibilities, coordinating trades and quality control/defect inspections.Key Responsibilities:• Monitoring building schedules including the stockpiling/availability of materials on‐site• Coordinating and providing support to all of the on‐site trades, responding to queries in a practical and timely manner• Managing quality control during the construction process via inspections; ensuring all work is square and to a high level of quality• Undertaking final finish and defect inspections

Working within the highly regarded investigations team under the floodplain services banner, a high level of problem solving and consultation with a wide range of stakeholders was required daily. The type of work undertaken within the team is highly variable (from detailed computational work to overseeing projects on a complete scale) requiring a diverse skillset and excellent time management.Key Responsibilities:• Designing and managing minor capital projects from tender to completion, coordinating and providing support to all subcontractors involved• Liaising with external stakeholders (such as VIC Roads, Stocklands, etc.) on large scale civil and residential projects• Responding to public, commercial and municipal queries regarding, flood mitigation and floodplain issues• Team specialist in storm water modeling and investigation• Flood modeling for metropolitan Melbourne which acts as a base for planning scheme overlays• Acting hydraulic designer/consultant on a number of high level projectsAchievements:• The successful completion of the Dandenong Valley Wetland; one of the biggest manmade wetlands in the southern hemisphere (24 times the size of the MCG, consisting of 1.6 million plants) within time and budget constraints (2 years and $15 million respectively)• The complete overhaul of Melbourne Water’s guidelines for the use of MUSIC – the industry standard for stormwater pollutant modeling software which is used throughout the building industry.• The design and management of the construction phase of a flood mitigation wall along Mullum Mullum Creek ‐ successfully reducing the impacts and safety concerns associated with the pedestrian/bike path flooding at a high frequency
