Career SkillsMy major area of competence is in the development of backend api services and user interfaces on the web and mobile apps.The tools which I commonly use to deliver these services are JavaScript/Typescript, MongoDB, Node.js, Docker, React and React Native.Lessons from my work experience on a huge variety of projects both as a freelancer and full-time employee over the years have taught me the huge importance of type safety, codebase architecture and proper documentation for the sustainability and maintainability of software programs. I highly prioritize these things when working on any project. On the side, I also apply my knowledge of process control and simulation, optimization algorithms and neural network design from my undergraduate research days to tutor and assist other student researchers in related fields.Other InterestsHistory, listening to debates on socio-political ideologies, genetic engineering, astronomy and particle physics.I'm always excited at novel research work that validates or questions our standard model of particle physics or our current understanding of celestial bodies such as neutron stars and black holes.
