I have been responsible for LBG’s Core Banking System’s application team since 2016. The team of 150 FTE looks after change and run for a large COBOL system that runs 99% of LBGs Current and Savings Accounts. The application holds 56M accounts and services the banking needs of approx. 1/3 of the UK population. It supports all the Bank’s main customer channels and operates 24*7, providing real time access to customers’ current and savings account information. As one of the Bank’s ‘Crown Jewel’ applications, it is essential that it is continuously available, and I look after the run team responsible for ensuring that we continuously exceed our availability targets. Prior to taking up my current role, I was a Programme Manager delivering complex high value change programmes across LBG. Prior to joining the Bank I worked as an IT Management Consultant in the UK, Hong Kong and Australia.
