Bailey James Creative is based in Sydney, Australia. I offer guidance to creative people starting up and running new businesses. I am a mentor, not a business coach or management consultant. I come from a design background; I speak your language and think as you do. I can offer a fresh perspective, a wealth of experience and the expertise to help you get things done. In a long and eventful career, I have established and run successful design businesses in London, Luxembourg, Malaga, Berlin and Sydney. I have held senior creative roles in prominent design practices and advertising agencies, including the creative directorship of Europe's first online service. I have also practiced as a psychotherapist in Sydney for over fourteen years. While working with clients in a clinical environment, I have drawn upon this expertise within my design, academic and business career, where important synergies have been established and have proven highly effective. My particular areas of interest are couples work, anger management and mens' issues. I am a professionally-qualified and registered psychotherapist and counsellor, and a member of the Australian Counselling Association.I have lectured in design at a number of universities and design schools in Sydney, Australia and Southern Spain. I have written and developed a range of courses in design theory and practice, with particular emphasis upon sustainable design thinking, human-centred design and developing a successful design practice.I now combine my various skills as business mentor, psychotherapist and educator, within my two professional practices; at www.baileyjamescreative.com and www.becalmcounselling.com.
