As a result of Siemens Plc selling the fleet operation to WCS, the existing team continued to function serving Siemens needs. Over time the decision was made to relocate the operation from the old Siemens premesis in Chertsey to FNVC (First National Vehicle Contracts) newly opened headquarters in Lancashire. My role changed to function around the COS (car ownership scheme) which Siemens had adopted. A member of the 'In house' fleet department, servicing all makes of cars and commercial vehicles from vans to Main Board Daimler, Jaguar and Mercedes. Benefited from manufacturer factory training. Some external 'fleet' work for associate companies such as GEC and Marconi was also undertaken.
