I am proud to say that I have worked here at Wythall for the Phoenix Group since the company relocated to this site back in 1998. I originally joined the then "Brittanic Assurance" back in 1991 as Head Chef, and progressed to my present role as Catering Manager in 2000.I have a real passion for food, and have worked in various kitchens since I completed my apprenticeship way back at the then Penns Hall Hotel in Sutton Coldfield. I have worked with many great Chefs over the years, who have been a real positive influence on my career.My current role is both challenging and enjoyable. Phoenix give me the freedom to express my ideas onto the menu each day, with a brief to source the best food from the best suppliers. My team share my passion to create a quality offering to our workforce.

I worked on all sections and gained valuable experience from some great Chefs, including Keith Stanley. I became proficient enough to be promoted to Chef Tournant, and enjoyed my time working in this long established hotel.
