The Application Support team is responsible for the delivery and day-to-day operational management of non-production and production environments for business applications in AIG’s Corporate Systems Group. Corporate Systems is an IT business unit which delivers application solutions to AIG’s Investments, Science, Finance, Actuarial, Human Resources, and other administrative corporate functions. Application Support is a team of Agile and DevOps engineers who collaborate very closely with Application Development and Infrastructure teams to deliver technology environments and software products from vendors and in-house development teams across all support business functions. We embrace modern Cloud Computing and DevOps-based principles such as Desired State Configuration (DSC), Continuous Deployment, automated acceptance testing, and Just Enough Administration to provision new systems, monitor activity, and report on daily operational status because we believe business applications should be highly available, should perform well, and be managed efficiently.

Under Corporate Business IT (CBIT)• Responsible for the identification and implementation of the target state global business application support structure.• Establish and manage regional groups to provide multi-functional (Functional Support/Development) | Application | Domain (Investments/Treasury/Finance) support where applicable and defined by senior stakeholders/management.• Review and implement creation of regional, non-siloed tactical development teams to work in partnership and collaboration with ABP colleagues on defined projects.• Identify opportunities to further automate and enhance our workflow processes, drive cost efficiencies and effective resource utilization.• Implementation of centralized application support functions in Dublin/ Wilton, leveraging the synergies between these groups, resulting in an operating model with a better trained and smaller overall staff.• Adhere to issue management resolution model incorporating associated standards, methods, processes, training and implementation across ABP.• Provide front line business application support and troubleshoot issues to ensure timely resolution with a high standard of impact analysis and explanation to all relevant parties both local and remote of in-scope applications.• Collaborate with program managers, and with technical and business leads to align priorities and to ensure that plans and statuses are coordinated and clearly communicated throughout the organization.• Work closely and in partnership with other system teams to leverage shared resources and to ensure consistency and compatibility of approach, technology and support model.• Enhance the level and range of services provided by adopting industry standards, leveraging automation, exposing operational weaknesses and implementing appropriate controls.• Manage, motivate and act as advisor to business application support teams providing BAU support and enable them to perform to the very best of their abilities.
