Now I am in my 42nd year in the oil industry, during this time I have progressed from a roustabout to Senior Deepwater Drilling Supervisor. My career has taken me into most of the drilling theatres around the world, working alongside multi national work forces and on all types of drilling rigs (with the exception of swamp barges). I have always promoted a very high HSE ethic and use my people/management/mentoring skills, to build strong drilling teams. Having experienced many advances in drilling techonlogy alongwith rig equipment and drilling equipment, I use this experience to assist me as I continually look for performance improvement as I am very much aware of the spiralling spread costs, My drilling/supervisory skills extend from jetting through to sub-sea completions.Although I have no formal education, I have developed an excellent knowledge in the use of computer software and all aspects of well engineering, which has included developing detailed deepwater drilling procedures.
