VKE are a Specialist Civil Engineering Contractor undertaking groundworks, enabling works, services, reinforced concrete sub and superstructure construction along with hard landscaping works. VKE has worked within the UK on commercial/residential properties and since 2017 within Europe delivering RC and civils works on Data Centre Projects.As part of the Senior Management Team, I work to ensure that the business develops a high performing and effective Commercial Team that work collaboratively with other colleagues to maximise sustainable growth and profitability within the group. My responsibilities include :• Recruit, lead, develop and retain a high-performing team of commercial staff• Work with the senior management team to help secure new projects and participate in tender adjudications.• Develop annual budget with Directors• Review contracts prior to contract execution• Lead the commercial strategy during the Projects and at final account close out• Maximise the profitability of the business by identifying value opportunities and ensuring accurate cost control• Ensure accurate CVR’s are provided monthly where risk and opportunity are understood and actioned• Assist in end of financial year audits • Lead the commercial team in project applications, ensuring payments, and retention collection are received as early as possible• Ensure all contractual issues are identified at the earliest opportunity and addressed • Developing and maintaining Client / Consultants /Sub-Contract relationships• Enhance and ensure compliance with Company policies & procedures

Glent Group self-deliver CSA packages in the Data Centre and Pharmaceutical industries across mainland Europe. Our principal areas of operation are groundworks, concrete works including reinforced concrete structures and basements, underground services, structural alterations and external works including fencing.

During my time at Careys, we worked on a large number of diverse projects which include substructures, service installation, basement construction, infrastructure works and large multi-storey concrete structures.
