Managing Circa 100 Associates including Planners, Team Leaders & Tool Room.Hold daily production meeting at start of shift, addressing objectives, materials, equipment or manpower issues. Update daily KPI’s and report out on a weekly and month end basis.Ensuring that all HSE objectives are met and that we comply with the regulatory requirements. Promote Lean Manufacturing Techniques embracing 6s and Identifying and implementing CI opportunities. Drive efficiency gains by monitoring targets and discussing performance issues with individual associates. Driving cost down exercises to reduce as much non value added as possible.Ensuring on time delivery whilst maintaining excellent quality across all product lines.

Managing all aspects of the Instrument & Knives value stream, from suppliers through to customer. Management, development & coaching of 54 production staff including 2 Team Leaders & 3 tool room staff. Hold daily production meeting at start of shift, addressing objectives, materials, plant or manpower issues. Ensuring that all budgeted targets & KPI’s are met & monitored on a weekly basis. KPI’s include RFT, PPM, Volume & Mix, Line fill, Back Orders etc. Reporting of the KPI’s on a weekly basis to the Director of European Operations. Identifying VIP projects & delivering them to plan. Working throughout the year on specific individual impact goals to meet the needs of the business.

Responsible for management of several manufacturing cells, producing high precision gearbox components. Responsible for compliance to Health & Safety & attendance management. Developed a 50 strong workforce by identifying strengths & weaknesses, advising suitable training to further development and monitoring through Personal Development Plans. Achieving daily build targets using resource within manufacturing, driving practices such as manpower planning, PPM, prioritising breakdowns, reducing bottleneck operations, monitoring & reducing scrap levels. Working with the engineering department on continuous improvement and reducing material & tooling costs.
