Due primarily to a clerical mix-up at the job centre, Nigel started his working life as an aeronautical engineer before moving into sound engineering just as tape was moving out. During his time in London he worked with every agency and production company you can mention from around the globe, and on brands from Coke to Pepsi and Adidas to Nike, with a few Stellar Artois thrown in for good measure, both metaphorically and at The Coach and Horses across the road. He was a founding partner and chief engineer at 750mph, one of London's premier audio post houses, where he won numerous pencils and arrows for his work.He moved to Australia in 2008 largely in an attempt to eradicate a twenty-year studio-tan and also learn how to get his face wet when swimming without drowning. Since then he's worked on various high profile accounts and campaigns such as the launches for Commbank and NRMA as well as for brands such as Coke, Jaguar, Optus and Qantas as well as for clients such as the BBC and Google to name but a few….that's not an order by the way. He has worked at Vandal since it's creation as the Head of Audio, largely due to it being a department of one person. In his career Nigel has worked on every kind of job imaginable from audio mnemonics, Foley, animation, documentaries, short films, series, sound design, high end TV commercials, light projections, augmented and virtual reality, as well as art installations and just about whatever else exists that comes out of speakers.Nigel brings a wealth of talent, experience and creativity to any and every project and will also talk your ears off about motorcycles if you have the time, and often even if you don't.
