Nigel Day trained in the biomedical sciences and spent his career working for two blue-chip pharmaceutical companies working in product development covering the entire range from initial formulation selection through to scale-up technology transfer into production. This has included most product dosage forms in the commercial arena. He also has experience in software development for manufacturing and supply chain management. Following early retirement he was involved with lecturing at the new School of Pharmacy at Durham University.
