In-country Project Manager and Lead Installation Design Authority (IDA) responsible for the delivery of a GBP 7M Government to Government communication project, supplying secure IT Infrastructure for the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) at King Faisal Air Base in Tabuk, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Committed to Developing and strengthening working relationships with cross-functional teams including, RSAF CITW, Primary Construction Contractor and 3rd party data network suppliers.

This is customer advocacy role, supporting major UK-based telecommunications companies, including British Telecom, NEC and Virgin Media. Responsible for all aspects of Genband customer care to these major clients, providing an interface between the client and Genband’s internal support teams and third party support partners. Key responsibilities included management and coordination of on-site spares, field engineering services, support quotations and invoicing, budgets and forecasting, project planning, quality control and direct line management of remote network operations staff.

Eastern Europe

This was a role dedicated to supporting East European countries in their development of internal communications infrastructures. This involved frequent travel and a detailed knowledge of enterprise communications equipment. Effective communication was a necessity and being able to deliver an excellent customer service helped Nortel Networks retain these highly profitable and sector-significant contracts

Responsible for the delivery and installation of high capacity fibre optic equipment in Austria, Russia and Slovakia. This position further enhanced my project management skills in a telecommunications environment. This provided me with experience in managing and liaising with partners and clients overseas, which required excellent communication skills, the ability to present information in a clear, simple format and a deep understanding of the product and the project deliverables

United Kingdom

I led a large team of engineers on a state of the art fibre-optic installation across England. This included the recruitment, training, development, resourcing and delivery of all project staffing and consumables. I managed people, budgets, equipment and liaison with the high profile business partner and client. This was a highly complex and sensitive project for the Ministry of Defence and spanned eight years. During this period STC Defence Systems was incorporated in to Nortel Networks.

Earlier in my career in the Royal Signals I qualified as a telephone engineer and during this period I completed a RAF aerial riggers course and went on to be responsible for the maintenance of the masts whilst serving in Belize and the Falklands.I completed my service at RAF Bruggen where I managed and coordinated a team of telecommunications engineers on refurbishment projects.Responsible for the management of internal, secure communications across military installations. Undertook training with British Telecom for blown-fibre installations, and then developed and delivered bespoke training to army personnel.
