As an investment professional with well over 35 years experience-twenty years in investment management,initially in research with a progressive move into a mainly fund management role as my career developed; and latterly as an investment adviser,specialising in investment and pensions-I have had substantial experience of working in wholesale as well as in retail markets.My interest is now to use this knowledge and experience in a consulting and/or a part time role.Specialties: As a Charteed Accountant I have continued to be actively interested in a number of issues-notably corporate governance,'Off Balance Sheet' items and ,in a wider sense, the general area of creative accounting;for example Bank Balance Sheets and marking their loan books to market.The mistakes that are being made in China currently by long only and hedge fund managers as well as private equity managers reflect badly on both accounting disclosure and poor governance standards in that country.
