My role was to produce a socio-economic assessment of Dewsbury. The Plan was successful in winning £25m in government investment into Dewsbury; - copy editing for the United Nations of three chapters in the 2021 'Ukraine Common Country Analysis', published in April 2021; - socio-economic research and copy editing for 'The Spirit of Malawi' by Susan Dalgety, published by Luath Press, February 2021; - skills analysis of elected councillors in Malawi on behalf of the Royal Norwegian Embassy, November 2019.

My wife and I visited all 28 EU member states (and Serbia) for 13 months in 2016–17 in our motorhome, and then shipped the van to the USA to drive round 35 states in 2018.

Main projects and achievements include: - led on the three Growth Deal bids in 2014, 2015 and 2016 - the most successful bids in England in terms of funding awarded by government, winning £1 billion in investment for the City Region - led on economic strategy for the LEP, producing the Strategic Economic Plan in March 2014 and its refresh in May 2016 - managed the City Region's Growth Deal Programme to its inception - led on the provision and commissioning of economic research for the LEP Board and the Combined Authority, including the Leeds City Region Business Survey 2015
