I’m a co-director of Illustrated Solutions Ltd. The business provides 2 services.The small-scale customised printing of promotional merchandise (using sublimation) and the provision of training services in a variety of different areas including ESOL, Mental Health and ICT. I have over 25 years of experience teaching and training adults within the FE, community, health and business sectors. My role also has included supporting adults with their literacy and numeracy needs.I have also worked as a personal tutor providing pastoral support and guidance for many adults, some of whom went on to university.I’ve taught in colleges and community locations all across South Yorkshire, from working men’s clubs to village halls as well as at various business locations.So, you could say, that education and training have been a big part of my life. I enjoy working with people and imparting knowledge as well as supporting and guiding them.I have also had the experience of delivering ESOL training from within Illustrated Solutions working with some Polish students. In October 2022 I extended my training skills by becoming a Mental Health Instructor for Nuco Training, as mental health is something close to my heart.In November 2023 I started to work for the Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) in Wakefield, by providing dialect training for their International Nurses who had been recruited from India. This ongoing work has included a focus on written and spoken English and has helped the nurses adapt to the culture of the Yorkshire way of life.In July 2024 I completed a Level 5 Diploma TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) course which has enhanced my ability to deliver English teaching sessions for learners whose first language is not English.
