On leaving Felsted School I joined Department Store Peter Jones in Sloane Square London part of the John Lewis Partnership. I trained in Retail Management for 5 Years from 1976 to 1981.I joined the family business in 1981 and have had a relatively comfortable retail ride. In recent years retailing has become more challenging and now my focus is on developing our website sales which have become very meaningful, along with our Business to Business company which specialises as an end to end provider of Employee Loyalty and Service Award gift solutions.My goal is to continue to develop this side of our business and reinvest back into our retail company as appropriate.We have now (October 2023) sold our online trading business www.havens.co.uk to our friends and colleagues Simon and Janet Willis of Goviers of Sidmouth.
