Since 2002 I have been responsible for a team of machine vision and NDT specialists. In this role I lead the development and implementation of innovative machine vision systems for part inspection and process control. I provide technical support to manufacturing operations around the world, helping them with purchasing decisions and resolving any problems with existing systems. I also maintain a North American NDT competence and ensure we have technology ‘bookshelved’ to meet customer requests.From 1999-2001 I was Manufacturing R&D Manager where I initiated work on high-precision and novel machining processes as well as setting up the Machine Vision group.Previous to this, I managed many manufacturing improvement and process development projects at plants in Europe and North America. These cut waste and provided new capabilities that helped secure new business.
