Having spent the majority of my working life in corrugated packaging I consider myself an experienced corrugated packaging specialist. Currently I fulfil the role of a Senior Field Sales Manager who has built a career from “finding the gap” for clients across multiple industries.By listening and understanding the customer, I am able to conceptualise systems and solutions to be able to deliver tangible business value.Due to the nature of my work and also of my personality, one of the key areas is to develop close business relationships with my customers and retain my portfolio on long term basis. I prioritise customer service ensuring delivery dates are met and assist where possible with urgent requirements. A key hallmark of a good sales/ customer care person is the ability to listen and interpret customer needs an pain points that will require attention and make suitable suggestions to remedy the situation. This remains paramount in my presentation.I am fortunate to be able to communicate with workshop personnel through to the key decision personnel on a regular basis to obtain feedback and look for opportunities in service improvement, business development and work toward cost saving solutions. Within the industry I am known to be creative, exceptionally reliable and ensure that my customer has the best possible solution for their business.My approach is to drive and ensure that the customer remains king, which I am especially good at. I am passionate about building relationships with both internal and external clients so that I can understand their needs, conceptualise business solutions and drive implementation, this comes from a good grounding in the military where team building and the need to get on with people is hugely important.During my working career, I have worked closely with clients systems including automation, increasing profits, and ensuring waste reduction. I have also worked closely with clients automation and WMS systems and provided solutions bespoke to the client’s needs.I do not use a “me too” approach to new business generation; I bring an entrepreneurial spirit, creativity and lateral thinking to conceptualizing bespoke solutions. I use a pragmatic approach and 40 years of recognising business opportunities, presenting solutions of experience to drive finalisation.I am also a skilled Microsoft Office user and my presentation, reporting and interdepartmental communication skills are clear, readable and to the point.
