Nigel is a committed entrepreneur, more recently with iSKANDU consultancy and Sleepy Sheep ventures. The ventures capitalise on his experience in the fields of media, communications, healthcare products and lecturing to offer clients. Following a successful career as a freelance photojournalist, specialising in investigative journalism, Nigel went on to found prestigious UK press agency, News Team International in 1986. Over the last 12 years, he founded NTI Healthcare, which commercialised and marketed health supplement Ateronon, nicknamed the “tomato pill” and successful health sector PR company, Vivo Healthcare. In 2012 he successfully raised £1.3M to create Cambridge Nutraceuticals, where as founder director he served as CEO and COO. In 2012, News Team International merged with SWNS Media Group, where Nigel served as New Business Director, assisting it to become the UK’s largest independent press agency, now daily supplying over 35% of the UK’s national newspapers content. His knowledge of the media industry is extensive having worked with all of the UK’s national newspapers and he assisted brokering lucrative syndication deals with several major UK regional news groups including, Johnston Press, Local World, Kent Messenger Group, Trinity Mirror. He was recently appointed a visiting lecturer at Worcester University to support journalism degree courses.Internationally Nigel has enjoyed extensive business partnerships with EPA, (European Press Photo Agency) and became sole UK partner to Xinhua, the Chinese state news agency, including advising them on strategy for media coverage of the Beijing Olympic Games. In the UK, Nigel's media knowledge and contacts bought several specialist clients including, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, winning contract as host media for two G8s and G20 Summits, along with Foreign Secretary and Afghan Conferences. Sport England, Historic Royal Palaces were amongst many other long term clients.
