My responsibilities as Transport manager are ensuring that the day to day requirements of the company run smoothly. Customer service is at the fore of my ethos and so I look out for their needs and adjust accordingly to meet them. My other responsibilities include route planning and scheduling the fleet of vans that travel nationwide on a daily basis collecting and delivering freight; troubleshooting, prioritizing, organizing and implementing cost effective back loads to maximize profitability at all times.I am responsible for our fleet of drivers and endeavour to ensure that they have everything they need to fulfill their requirements and also that they feel empowered to go about their day at ease and with confidence - knowing that they are supported, encouraged and appreciated in all that they do.I am continually seeking the good and furtherance of company in order to maximize growth, profitability and the security of our employees as they all work extremely hard and go beyond the call of duty toward exceeding the common goal. My responsibilities included prioritizing customer requirements, packing them together and distributing them accordingly, meeting deadlines, managing my own work load and also running the department when holiday cover was required for management.I maintained the warehouse and ensured everything ran smoothly and that all stock levels were correct, kept neat, accessible and properly distributed for easy access and safety.
