I am a committed and ambitious Finance Director, and have enjoyed developing functional and wider business skills within interesting, progressive organisations.I enjoy directing the Finance function and have extensive experience in business set up, process design, functional and team development, financial systems, tax, treasury, business reporting, financial management and financial controls - including the successful implementation of a SOX controls framework. I have been fortunate to work with great teams and fully recognise that the strength of those relationships and mutual trust and respect has been instrumental in our successes. I am keen to promote business change and enjoy working with colleagues to identify, assess and implement improvements. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team I am actively engaged to in developing business strategy, covering the full breadth of business operations and structures. This has been further extended in helping the business to respond to the COVID 19 circumstances, making an effective transition to remote working. I also direct the Procurement function, which has further enhanced my understanding of customer requirements and operational needs and augmented the commercial / contractual expertise I had previously obtained through bidding, pricing and commercial negotiations.An effective and confident communicator, I like to think that I have developed effective relationships at all levels within the businesses I have worked for, up to Board level, and with a wide range of external stakeholders.
