Manage a department of 2 staff members. General co-ordination to ensure that monthly close off objectives are met.Liasing with all concerned when problems arise and directing or organising effective and suitable solutions.Review of performance targets of resources in department and indicators Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and reports. Using JDE financials and excel spreadsheet to prepare P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.Assistance to Financial Controller as requested and directed by him.JDE system Finance Super User. GL Reconciliations as indicated on Schedule of accounts.Manage all GL queries, Opex Unification & Balance Sheet Unification Provision of management information requested by internal and external customers.Ensure that stock accounting is balanced. Daily obtaining of company bank account balances via on-line network system with bankers, and preparation of daily treasury management report based on expected daily cash flow .Preparation of quarterly Net Investment Income Reports, monthly Cash Flow Reports, Bank Exposure Reports.Allocation of income received to ledger accounts (i.e. Income on bonds, fixed deposits, treasury bills, real estate tenants, mortgagers, company shares and other investment instruments). Monthly analysis and reconciliation of investment asset, income & expense accounts. Journal voucher preparation for accounting transactions and entry.Preparation of check payment vouchers & checks to creditors and issuing of rental invoices to tenants.Updating and maintenance of asset schedules to agree with general ledger balancesPreparation of vat return for subsidiary company.Training of junior staff members of department in basic accounting skills & spreadsheet applications
